Ellen Cheshire

Ellen studied Film and English at London Metropolitan University gaining a BA (Hons), and subsequently taught film for Further, Adult and Continuing Education, regularly giving talks, lectures or hosting Q&As on a wide variety of topics.

She has written books on Jane Campion, Ang Lee, Audrey Hepburn and the Coen Brothers for ‘Pocket Essentials’, as well contributing to Science Fiction World’s Top 100 Fantasy Films and to numerous film and literature magazines and websites. Her most recent publication is a chapter on Nazi Propaganda for ‘Under Fire: a century of war movies’ published by Ian Allen Publishing in September 2009.

Ellen has previously given talks for the Chichester Literary Society on the film versions of ‘The Taming of the Shrew’ and ‘Macbeth’, and Lewis Carroll’s ‘Alice in Wonderland’.

Ellen gave a presentation on the work of Stephen King and how his books are adapted into films at the April meeting 2015.
